Tom McCutcheon & Gunners Special Nite make 2010 Team USA!

At the selection trials for the 2010 USA Reining Team for the World Equestrian Games, Tom McCutcheon rode Gunners Special Nite, owned by Turnabout Farm, to the second highest composite to earn the silver medal and a chance to compete at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY. Congratulations to fellow team members, Shawn Flarida, Tim McQuay, Craig Schmersal and alternate Casey Deary!

2010 Cowboy Capital Classic Derby

Mandy McCutcheon rode Starbucks Girl ( Smart Starbuck x Good Time Showgirl) to a 219 to win the Cowboy Capital Classic Non Pro Derby in Stephenville, Texas.
2010 Florida Classic

Congratulations to Bonnie Hippensteel and Hes Justa Benz, winners of the Florida Classic Non Pro Derby, marking a 147.5! Bonnie purchased this home grown champion in fall of 2009 from Tom & Mandy McCutcheon, who bred and raised him. He is by Smart Starbuck and out of their stellar producing mare, Justa Spring Freckle.

2009 NRHA Futurity

At the 2009 NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, Mandy McCutcheon rode West Coast Mizzen (West Coat Whiz x Mizzen Shine) to win the Non Pro Futurity Championship out of 152 entries! Owned by Tom & Mandy, this special mare now has over $47,000 in earnings after 1 year in the show pen.
SWRHA Futurity Show

At the 2009 SWRHA Futurity in Ardmore, OK, Mandy McCutcheon won the Non Pro Futurity Championship on West Coast Mizzen, owned by Tom & Mandy, with a score of 224.5, earning $5,250. Tom McCutcheon rode SL Lenas Chick, to 10th place in the Open Futurity, winning $2,627 for owner Roxanne Koepsell. Tom also made the finals on Serendipity Starbuck, sired by Smart Starbuck, owned by Arcese Quarter Horses, USA.

NRHA announced on September 30, 2009 that Smart Starbuck, owned by Tom & Mandy McCutcheon, had become the reining industry's newest $1 Million sire!

Mandy McCutcheon & West Coast Mizzen win NCRHA Non Pro Futurity

At the 2009 NCRHA Futurity in St. Paul, MN, Mandy McCutcheon won the Non Pro Futurity Co-Championship on West Coast Mizzen, owned by Tom & Mandy. In the Open Futurity, Tom McCutcheon guided two horses to the Open finals, Serendipity Starbuck, owned by Arcese Quarter Horses; and Paps Starbuck, owned by Robert Stinner.

Tom McCutcheon & Darlins Not Painted win FEI Kentucky Test Event

Team USA rider Tom McCutcheon of Aubrey, TX, won the individual final in Kentucky Cup Reining, the first test event for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. For the win, he teamed up with Darlins Not Painted, owned by Randy and Andi Paul of Arizona. Team USA also won the team competition. Team USA members also included: Dell Hendricks & Starbucks Sidekick (sired by Smart Starbuck), Shawn Flarida & Smart Spook, and Aaron Ralston & Double My Whiskey. Click Here for a video!

2009 NRHA Derby

At the 2009 Derby, congratulations go to assistant trainer Joe Schmidt, who made the Open and Intermediate Open Finals on Dun It Got Lucky, owned by Roxanne Koepsell.

A big congratulations to Sarah Willeman on making all of the Non Pro division finals on her horse, Chic Olena Starbuck, sired by Smart Starbuck.
Mandy McCutcheon also made the Non Pro finals on I Spin For Chics.

Congratulations to Pat Warren on her purchase of Star For The Chicks (Smart Starbuck x Dun It By Chick). Shown by Tom McCutcheon, this powerful show horse has earnings of over $21,000 on his way to winning the 2008 SWRHA Open Futurity Reserve Championship and making the finals at the 2008 Tulsa Classic Open Futurity and 2008 NRHA Open Futurity. Gimme Major Bucks Wins Big at 2009 NRBC!

Congratulations to Christy McElreath on winning the Limited Non Pro and Non Pro 1 Championships at the NRBC while riding her new horse, Gimme Major Bucks (Smart Starbuck x Majors Serendipity). This duo also won the Int Non Pro Reserve Championship and made the Non Pro Finals. And they posted a 222.5 in the preliminaries to win the first go in all divisions! For their wins they earned over $36,000! Gimme Major Bucks was raised at Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses, and shown by Tom and previous owner Sarah Willeman. Many congrats to Christy and her trainer Pete Kyle on purchasing this nice horse!

A Successful 2009 NRBC for Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses!

At the 2009 NRBC, Tom McCutcheon rode two horses to the Open Finals to earn over $13,000. He did so riding Lonely Elan, owned by Roxanne Koepsell, and Star For the Chics, owned by Sarah Willeman/Turnabout Farm.
Congratulations to assistant trainer Sebastian Petrol on winning the Limited Open Co-Championship riding Roxanne Koepsell's mare, Miss Brim Peppy! They also finished tie 7th in the Intermediate Open Finals, earning over $17,000. Additionally, Sebastian rode Charles Stinner's horse, A Cowgirls Money, by Major Vaquero, to 6th in the Limited Open Finals.
Non Pro Sarah Willeman had a great show, placing tie 5th in the Non Pro Level 1 Derby riding Lil Ruf Whiz, and tie 9th on Chic Olena Starbuck by Smart Starbuck. She placed tie 8th in the Limited Non Pro Derby and tie 7th in the Intermediate Non Pro Derby on Chic Olena Starbuck.
In the Short Stirrup Class, congrats go to Cade McCutcheon on winning the Reserve Championship riding Okie Dun Did It, as well as 4th place riding Dun Being An Okie.
